Welcome to Henley Community Garden
Growing food, cultivating community
Henley Community Garden is an organic permaculture designed community garden created by local resident volunteers on land administered by the local council City of Charles Sturt, with the permission of the Kaurna Nation.
The land was formerly part of the hinterland of what is now the Henley Beach village, an abundant reed bed area part of the rich tribal lands of the Kaurna nation. The reed bed has since been drained but we wish to bring a culture of abundance back to this small piece of relatively neglected open space, growing food, healing the land, reconnecting with each other and the earth that sustains us.
