Virus protection
You will at least be protected whilst you research if this is the level of protection you require.
If you are connected to the Internet it is important to have good virus protection and update regularly.
Those people who have purchased machines from a registered supplier will have been given information about virus protection and how often it should be updated and what are the costs involved. If you are unsure just check with them – it will tell you somewhere amongst the paperwork supplied at the time of purchase.
Those people who have had a machine passed onto them by a family member, please check with the family member what is the name of your virus protection system and what you need to do to keep it updated.
If you have had your machine for some time and you use the Internet and do not regularly update your virus protection I would recommend you do so.
There are free, cheap and expensive forms of protection depending on your need
Moving the start bar
If your task bar (the one where the Start button is located) is at the top of your screen or at the side and that is not where you want it, maybe you prefer it at the bottom :
- Using your mouse, place your arrow in the middle of the task bar (wherever it is).
- Using your left mouse button click the button, hold it down and keep it down, whilst dragging your task bar to the position you would like it to be in.
Hope you have success with this one as we have been asked about this a couple of times recently.
